A Taste of Paradise here at Sunlight Eco Tourism Island Resort

Our stay at Sunlight Eco Resort was by far one of the best vacations we have ever had! From the moment we entered the island, we were greeted with such warmth and joy! As our boat docked, we were welcomed with the entire staff waving at us with big smiles on their faces, along with a dance group performing to the fun and catchy song “It’s More Fun in the Philippines”. From the very first minute we set foot on the island, we got a glimpse of the hospitality and passion of the staff as we were given soothing drinks, a cooling towel, and a traditional necklace.

As we moved forward into our day, we were given a tour of the island by Margaret, who was so kind to us our entire stay on the island. The moment we got into the water, we were amazed by the beautiful corals and marine life observable, right off the shore! The sea life is so vibrant and colourful! The corals and fish are evidently thriving and protected. This is very rare to see in this day in age, so it was so refreshing and such an honour to be able to experience! We truly could have spent the entire day snorkelling as there was so much to see! We were also quite impressed with the non-motorized activities they had available to us as we got to enjoy seeing the marine life through a different perspective on the paddleboards and glass kayaks.

The island is the perfect combination of relaxing and exciting. We got to escape the hustle and bustle of the city which we so badly needed. There was no noise pollution or air pollution as the island only uses electric golf carts to get around. We were so refreshed by the peace and serenity we experienced around the island.

Another feature of the island that we thoroughly enjoyed was the variety of food! They had several different restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We looked forward to every meal as they had such an impressive and delicious spread for each one! They had a mix of traditional Filipino and international food, which was perfect. You can tell that each meal is cooked with love. We had the honour of getting to sit down and chat with the head chef, and we left not only with a full stomach, but also a full heart as he shared his heart with us.

All in all, we were greatly pleased with our stay at Sunlight Eco resort. It is an amazing place to be immersed in the beautiful nature, the Philippines has to offer, with the people you love! You will leave with unforgettable memories. We surely will never forget this place and plan to come back with other friends and family!
